About
October 8, 1985. The caretaker of the Forest residence reports a resident dead, apparently a suicide by firearm. You have just been appointed Chief Sergeant of the Saint-Etienne research brigade and this is your first case. The press will call it the Vera Cruz Affair.
Gilles Blancon's 1985 original was one of the first detective games to split the work into observation and investigation. Photograph the scene with the mouse-driven magnifier and search the room, then run the inquiry through the brigade's files and contacts. Whether it was really a suicide is the question.
Brutal Deluxe ported it to the IIGS in August 2025, English and French 800K disks plus a PDF manual. This archive does not host the disk; get it from the Brutal Deluxe page.
