About
Ninjaforce came back to the party circuit with Kernkompetenz at Revision 2017 in Saarbrücken, where it placed 4th in the oldskool demo compo against the usual C64 and Amiga field. It is a modern demo on a 1986 machine: a tunnel, a shaded torus, flat-shaded 3D, the greetings on a rotating cube, with a chip-style soundtrack through the Ensoniq that had the Revision crowd comparing it to a SID. It wants 4 MB and an accelerator; Ninjaforce's download is a bugfixed version.
The 2mg boots in a 3.5" drive, and the DEMO file inside runs from ProDOS 8 on any device, which is how it sits in our Demoscene P8 collection. On a stock 2.8 MHz GS it runs, but slowly; on a real machine use a TransWarp, ZipGS or an AppleSqueezer.
