About
An Asteroids clone written from scratch for the IIGS by Peter Hirschberg, one of three arcade games he released in 2021. Vector-style rocks, big and small saucers that aim at you, hyperspace, an attract mode and extra lives, with a difficulty ramp tied to the score.
Option and Command rotate, Enter thrusts, Space fires (and starts a game), H is hyperspace, P pauses, F flips between Fast graphics for a stock 2.8 MHz GS and Fancy graphics for an accelerated one. The GS keyboard cannot see thrust and fire at the same time, so pick your moments. Sound code came from Jeremy Rand's BuGS.
Version 2.0 (June 2021) ships as an 800K .po or a 10 MB .2mg. This archive does not host the disk; get it from the GitHub releases page.
