I just cant get a lot of the games from this site to work, I get the software (possibly bad ram) error, can anyone help?

We'll need more info to go on.

Have you got the Apple IIGS ROM so that KEGS recognises it?

What games have you tried? What actually happens within the emulator when you try to boot the games?

Have you got as far as selecting which disk image to use by pressing F4 and specifying the disk image you want to use?

I have all of the above, yes, but when I load the games I get the error 'Detected trashed memory---software bug or (less likely) Bad Ram. Error $0308' not sure what to do next?!

I know its frustrating, but you didn't let me know which games you're trying to play - there may be a common thread to the games that don't work.

Also, which IIGS ROM version are you using? I recommend ROM 01, as it's more compatible.

Just anticipating what the problem could be, are you using Internet Explorer to download the disk images? When the site re-opened a couple of years ago, it was found that when using Internet Explorer (possibly version 6 and 7) that the zipped archives were getting corrupt somehow. The issue was very difficult for me to test, as I use Macintosh, but try downloading disc images with FireFox, Chrome or Opera instead of IE.
