About

BMApple2 is Jamie Honnaker's bare-metal Apple IIgs and Apple IIe emulator for the Raspberry Pi. It runs Kent Dickey's KEGS on the Pi with no Linux underneath, the same approach as BMC64, BMA800XL, and his BMCoco. The Pi 2, 3, Zero 2 W, 4, and 400 are supported. Picture and sound go out over HDMI.

It boots GS/OS, ProDOS, and DOS 3.3. Hard disk images go in slot 7, 3.5 inch disks in slot 5, and 5.25 inch disks in slot 6. F4 opens KEGS settings. F10 opens the BMApple2 menu for the machine (IIgs ROM 3, IIgs ROM 01, or an IIe), a colour or monochrome monitor, and volume. USB keyboard, mouse, and gamepad work. Ethernet or Wi-Fi can turn on a web page for the SD card.

v0.2.0 is a prerelease. Honnaker says it has only been tested in the PC simulator, not yet on a real Raspberry Pi. Apple ROMs are not included. Copy your own into the roms folder, or let it build ROM.03 from a MAME apple2gs set. This archive does not host the SD card image. Get v0.2.0 from the GitHub release. The desktop KEGS builds are listed separately as KEGS.
